Rod commenced his legal career as an industrial advocate for a large trade union. He was involved in major industrial disputes, award and contract determinations and liaison and negotiation with government.
Rod then moved into private practice where for the past 16 years he has practiced mainly in the area of litigation. He has been involved in some high profile and important cases such representing plaintiffs in the Melbourne Voyager matters which involved complex disputes with the Australian Government, insurance disputes, personal injury matters, particularly workers compensation, negligence actions, motor vehicle injury, dust and occupational disease cases, criminal law matters in the local and district courts systems, industrial and employment matters, probate and family provisions claims, commercial matters, building and contractor matters, as well as general litigation.
Rod is keen to assist you with your property, conveyancing and commercial transactions and will help you understand the process and issues that need to be addressed.
Rod had been a lecturer at the Sydney Institute of Technology in law for over 16 years and presents seminars on issues of relevance to organizations such as Powers of Attorney, Wills, and guardianship.
Rod is also interested in football and supports the West Tigers Rugby League Club of which he is a life member.
